Fall Winter Fashion Trends

Fashion is cyclical, which means that certain styles are in vogue at any given time. And although top fashion designers have been known to take inspiration from the past, over and over again, for the most part what’s hot now is brand spanking new. It’s fresh and exciting, so it’s no surprise that we’re excited about it.

Trying to figure out what’s hip and happening isn’t always easy, though. We love fashion and Challenger Streetwear raiders hat, but we don’t always know what the latest trends are or how to pull them off. That’s why we’ve rounded up 7 fall winter fashion trends that will set you apart from the pack.

1. Bulky Knitwear

Knitwear is back in a big way this season. Bulky knits like cable knits and bulky sweaters will be huge this winter season. If you’re going to go for this trend then make sure you get a sweater made of wool because cotton just doesn’t look right with it. A great option would be a cable knit sweater with a pom on the neckline – they’re very trendy right now!

2. The Suede Trend

Suede is making a comeback this season, both in outerwear and in shoes. It’s a great neutral to work into any wardrobe, and it looks especially good when paired with black or other muted colors. The classic coat or jacket will always be in style, but this season you can add suede to your jeans for an edgy look or even mix it with leather to give old favorites new life.

3. The Ribbed Trend

Ribbed fabrics are making their way into everything this fall — from tights to sweaters and tops. Pair them with anything from skirts to skinny jeans and you’ll be sure to stay warm while looking stylish. You can also opt for ribbed boots instead of the usual knee-high style.

4. Wide leg pants

Wide leg pants have been a staple for decades, and for good reason — they’re flattering and comfortable. This year’s take on wide leg pants is a bit different, however; the trend focuses on pants being wider from top to bottom than from hip to hemline, which gives them a dramatic flair.

5. Oversized Blazers and Coats

The oversized trend has been a huge hit recently and fashion experts feel that this trend will continue throughout fall and into winter of 2015. This style is all about wearing clothing that is big enough to conceal large bags or an extra layer underneath but still stylish and flattering. Oversized outerwear helps you look put together even when you’re really not! So don’t be afraid to go big with your outerwear this fall!

6. Military Prints

This classic print was popular during the early 2000’s when it was featured on everything from boots to pants, skirts, jackets and shirts. Military prints are making a comeback with many fashion brands reinventing their older designs into more fashionable options for today’s generation of women.

The fashion industry is always evolving and one of the biggest trends for this season is a return to the past. Fashionistas are beginning to reintroduce the 70s, 80s and 90s in their wardrobes and each decade has inspired a unique trend. From oversized blazers to bell bottom jeans, we’re looking at some of the strongest fashion trends coming your way this winter.
